I'm not sure if you could consider Amazon's use of MySQL a "fork", just because they provide a (probably patched) version of MySQL to their users. That would mean that any web hoster that provides MySQL for their customers is forking it, which is a bit far-fetched
As long as Amazon is not distributing their patched version of MySQL as a separate project, I personally don't consider this a fork.
